Here at Motor Oomph, we publish detailed DIY repair guides, as well as specific information about popular car models and general advice for choosing, maintaining and upgrading cars.
Meet Our Team
We are a few motorheads sharing a common passion for the road!
Steve Freling
ASE-Certified Technician
Steve has over 20 years of experience fixing cars. These days he's rarely seen turning wrenches, and instead likes to share what he learned over the years here on Motor Oomph.
When not checking out latest car models and hitting the road on his motorcycle (he recently upgraded from a KTM to a Yamaha R6!), he's usually found caring for his aquarium fish and researching about breeds he's yet to get his hands on.
Tyler Hilgeman
Car Performance Enthusiast
Tyler owns a few cars right now, but his most favorite ride till date was a Toyota Camry which he owned for 23 years.
He tweaked it beyond imagination, extracting every last bit of horsepower out of it through countless performance upgrades.
Apart from his writing duties for Motor Oomph (and occasionally a few other publications), he's an avid gamer who thinks Red Dead Redemption 2 is the best AAA game to have ever been created.
Daniel Young
ASE-Certified Technician
Daniel has more than 35 years of experience fixing cars and now owns his own automotive repair shop.
Prior to joining the Motor Oomph editorial team, he's contributed to a lot of known automotive publications over the year (both print and digital).
In his free time, he loves to fish and watch Netflix.
Kierstie Miller
Car Enthusiast
Kierstie is a lifelong car fanatic, having owned and loved cars since she was 16.
Hailing from Texas, she's usually the first person in her friend circle to face all the car-related questions!
Apart from just keeping up with new launches and new technology, she's also capable of fixing trivial car issues on her own, despite not having any formal certification.
Editorial Standards
At Motor Oomph, we have a set of editorial goals that guide the content we create. These include a commitment to thorough fact-checking and ensuring that our content is produced only by writers with real-world knowledge and experience. We feature products that we've at least tested or experienced sometime in real life, and present automotive fixes in the most direct, fluff-free way possible.
Our aim is to be an unbiased, experience-backed resource for car lovers, providing you with the most accurate and helpful information about all things car-related. We take pride in delivering high-quality content that you can rely on, and strive to be a trusted source of information for car enthusiasts everywhere.
